In 2015, our trip to the Spanish Gardens of Galicia proved to be the most popular place for our garden-enthusiasts to visit and this year, it would appear, is no different.P1040111

2016 saw a 22% increase in visitor numbers over 2015 with International Camellia Exhibition being the main attraction. This year the exhibition was in Pontevedra, famed for its romantic old city district and squares.

“The exhibition provides a focus for our tour, with fantastic camellia blooms presented to very high show standards with remarkable range and interest. In addition visitors are treated to the Galician bagpipes and people wearing national costumes, which all add to the interest. Galicia also offers the chance to explore some fantastic gardens and to see camellias in situe as well as the world heritage site of Santiago de Compostela,” explained Peter Moxley.  “It is safe and extremely popular with British visitors of all ages. We cater for singles and couples, as well as small groups.”

The tour is a dream for camellia lovers, with visits to public and private gardens at the height of their season.  Being based in the dramatic city of Santiago de Compostela, the six day trip includes a walking tour to see the outstanding architecture and to sample the fantastic local cuisine and wine.

Places on the 2017 tours to Galicia can be booked from April of this year – make sure you don’t miss out!
