A perennial favourite, the Madeira Flower Festival attracts visitors to see the magnificent displays of flowers. Not to be missed are the Botanical Gardens with thousands of imported plants thriving in the temperate climate.bigstock-Ornament-Italian-Style-Garden-36272956web size

Whether your interests are in flowers, walking or just relaxing in friendly, unhurried surroundings then Madeira is a perfect choice. Madeira is known as ‘The Garden Isle’, with innumerable gardens and parks to visit including the Botanical Garden, home to over 2,000 plants from Madeira, the Azores, Canaries and Cape Verde and a Tree Garden with trees from as far away as the Himalayas and the Tropics.

The trip also includes a visit to the beautiful Madeira Flower Festival. For one weekend every year the streets of Funchal are transformed and the city is in carnival mood. There are parades through the streets in traditional costumes, flower carpets adorn the streets, shop windows are decorated and traditional music is performed. There are also flower exhibitions, classical music concerts and a number of variety shows. All in all, this is a weekend not to be missed!

We are taking bookings now for this unforgettable trip, which leaves on Monday 13 April 2015, for 7 nights. For further information, click here
